What your fixed fee does and doesn't cover

The advertised fixed fee is per person and covers the standard legal work specifically described in this package. It does not include third-party costs, translations, interpreters, expert reports, counsel/advocate/barrister fees or substantial additional work outside the agreed scope unless expressly stated.

Additional work arising after submission, including correspondence or complaints concerning Home Office delays, is not automatically included in the fixed fee. We may undertake such work without additional charge at our discretion, but where substantial additional work is required a separate fee may apply.

⚠
Not sure this package is right for you?

This fixed fee is for standard applications. If you've had a previous refusal, entered the UK illegally, claimed asylum, had any immigration law breaches, prior convictions or any other adverse immigration history, please book a consultation first. These cases may need additional work and a separate quotation, and we'll recommend the right route.

UK Travel Documents: Application Support from a UK Immigration Lawyer

A UK travel document allows people who cannot obtain or use a national passport to travel internationally and return to the UK. The Home Office issues several types and each one has its own legal basis and evidence rules. Our £399 fixed-fee package is per person and covers the application work listed in the package.

Types of UK Travel Documents

  • Convention Travel Document, for recognised refugees with leave to remain or settlement on protection grounds.
  • Stateless Person Travel Document, for those granted leave to remain as stateless persons.
  • Certificate of Travel, for people who can show they have made formal but unsuccessful attempts to get a passport from their country of nationality.
  • One-way travel document for permanent emigration.

Each application uses a different Home Office form and a different evidence template. A UK immigration lawyer will identify the right form before you start.

Who Can Apply

You may qualify if you have refugee or humanitarian protection status in the UK, have been recognised as stateless under UK law, hold ILR on protection grounds, or are unable to obtain a national passport because of the conduct of your country of nationality.

What the £399 Travel Document Package Includes

  • Confirmation of the correct travel document type for your status.
  • Document checklist tailored to the form.
  • Drafting and submission of the application.
  • Drafting of a covering legal letter where the case needs explanation.
  • Evidence of formal and unsuccessful efforts to obtain a national passport, where the application requires this.
  • Liaison with HM Passport Office and the Home Office.

Why Use a UK Immigration Lawyer for a Travel Document

The most common reason a travel document is refused is that the applicant has not properly evidenced their attempts to get a national passport, or has applied for the wrong document. We make sure both points are covered.

Why Choose a Glasgow Immigration Lawyer

Our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices run travel document applications for clients across Scotland and the wider UK, including remote service. We are regulated by the Law Society of Scotland and have hundreds of five-star reviews.
