What your fixed fee does and doesn't cover
The advertised fixed fee is per person and covers the standard legal work specifically described in this package. It does not include third-party costs, translations, interpreters, expert reports, counsel/advocate/barrister fees or substantial additional work outside the agreed scope unless expressly stated.
Additional work arising after submission, including correspondence or complaints concerning Home Office delays, is not automatically included in the fixed fee. We may undertake such work without additional charge at our discretion, but where substantial additional work is required a separate fee may apply.
This fixed fee is for standard applications. If you've had a previous refusal, entered the UK illegally, claimed asylum, had any immigration law breaches, prior convictions or any other adverse immigration history, please book a consultation first. These cases may need additional work and a separate quotation, and we'll recommend the right route.

Private Life Settlement Applications
If you have lived in the UK under the Private Life route, you may now be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). Settlement grants you permanent residence in the UK, allowing you to live, work, and study without immigration restrictions.
At Alexander Boyd Solicitors, our fixed-fee settlement package (£1,499 incl. VAT, per person) supports applicants under Appendix Private Life with the ILR application work listed in the package.
Who is eligible?
You may qualify for settlement if you:
Were under 18 and lived in the UK for at least 7 years when you first applied, and now have 5 years’ continuous lawful residence.
Were aged 18–24 and had spent half your life in the UK at the time of application, and now have 5 years’ continuous lawful residence.
Are over 18, with less than 20 years’ UK residence but granted leave due to significant obstacles to reintegration – eligible after 10 years’ continuous lawful residence.
Were born in the UK to a parent granted leave under the Private Life route – eligible after 10 years’ continuous lawful residence.
